I don't really know how to describe the music, have a listen and see what you think...we're now up to 31 tracks in 7 Months, more than 1 track a week (said he blowing proudly on his own trumpet!)

nurse- young man, visiting hours are over.

BOY LEAVES, GIRL IS TAKEN OFF LIFE SUPPORT, AND DIES.

but wht the boy didn't kno is that the girl only asked him those questions so she could hear him say it one last time, and she only broke up w/him because she knew she only had 3 more weeks to live, and thought it would cause him less pain and give him time to get over her before she died.

NEXT DAY

the boy is found dead with a gun in his hand..with a note in the other...
THE NOTE SAID:i told her i would take a bullet for her....just like she said she would die for me...

Love Vs. Sex
A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit
some friends one
evening
and time passed quickly as each shared
their
various experiences of the past year.

She ended up staying longer than
planned,
and
had to walk home alone. She wasn't
afraid
because it was a small town and she lived
only
a
few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm
trees,
Diane asked God to keep her safe from
harm
and
danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a
short
cut to her house, she decided to take it.

However, halfway down the alley she
noticed
a
man standing at the end as though he
were
waiting
for her.

She became uneasy and began to pray,
asking
for
God's protection.

Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness
and
security wrapped round her, she felt as
though
someone was walking with her.

When she reached the end of the alley,
she
walked right past the man and arrived
home
safely.

The following day, she read in the
newspaper
that
a young girl had been raped in the same
alley
just
twenty minutes after she had been there.

Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and
the
fact
that it could have been her, she began to
weep.

Thanking the Lord for her safety and to
help
this
young woman, she decided to go to the
police
station.

She felt she could recognize the man, so
she
told
them her story.

The police asked her if she would be
willing to
look
at a lineup to see if she could identify
him.

She agreed and immediately pointed out
the
man
she had seen in the alley the night
before.

When the man was told he had been
identified,
he
immediately broke down and confessed.

The officer thanked Diane for her bravery
and
asked if there was anything they could do
for
her.

She asked if they would ask the man one
question.

Diane was curious as to why he had not
attacked
her.

When the policeman asked him, he
answered, "Because she wasn't alone.
She
had
two tall men walking on either side of
her."

Amazingly, whether you believe or not,
you're
never alone. Did you know that 98% of
teenagers
will not stand up for God?

PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what.....and if you stand up 4 him he will stand up for you.

New Computer
Oh how exciting! I think I might explode! A previous blog post below talks about me getting old and sensible and how utterly distressing it was for me to see a laptop that I wanted and have the good sense and decency not to actually just buy the thing! After much soul-searching however I went down to Dixons today and bought myself and brand spanking new laptop. A Philips Freevent X-53. I had originally seen the X52 for sale on pixmania and had been trying to decide on it (I wanted a laptop with a 12.1 inch screen and there isn't all that many of them around) when I saw an add in the paper for An X53 on sale in dixons. It seems to me that the laptops are pretty much identical, and the one in Dixons was cheaper, so I went for it, and bought one. I havent really had time to play with it yet but I will let you know how I get on.

Incidentally you may have stumbled on my blog by googling the x52 or x53 as there are bugger all reviews about them on the net. I found one post which directed me to the fact that the laptops are actually made by another crowd called freevent specifically for Dixons/Currys/the DGI group and are then branded with the Philips brand, and that is why there's very few reviews out there, because not many people know what they are or where they came from.

My very first impression (bearing in mind I was messing about in Dixons)(to the point where I set off those infernal alarms)(twice) was that the touchpad on it will take a bit of getting used to. I didn't find it all that particularly responsive. But that might just be as a result of the world and its mother pawing at the thing day in day out…hopefully

And another thing, the guy I bought the laptop off (in Dixons in the Jervis Centre, Dublin, Ireland) kind of ruined the experience for me. Call me old fashioned, but I remember a time when spending over €1,000 meant you got a freebie or a deal of some description (free carry bag, mouse….something for gods sake), but despite my best haggling and, well, moaning frankly, I could not get a ruddy thing out of him. Not a cent off anything, but it took me about 5 minutes to repeatedly tell him I didn't want their extra aftercare package….Boo erns to you Dixons, boo erns. The customer is always right, if I say I deserve something free with my laptop, then I deserve something free damn you!!

Well done SPIN 1038
So, music station of the year (or whatever the official title is!?) - That's not too shabby is it!? Congratulations to all the staff at Spin on a well deserved award. Let's skip over the fact that I wasn't nominated for any awards for a second (which clearly goes to the credibility of the whole affair!) and focus on what an outstanding acheivement it is for such young and new radio station.

Hats off in particular to Liam and Chris who derserve a big old fashioned slap on the back for getting the format and the music so tight and (evidently) right.

Glendalough
I don't actually remember ever having been in Glendalough before, but I was down there yesterday with my girlfriend and her brother and his girlfriend (couple-tastic) and I have to say, if you have never been, or havent been in a while, it is will worth the trip down to the lakes. Hard to find a better way to spend a sunny afternoon, then wandering around past mountain goats (incidentally, what noise do goats make, is it the same as sheep?) and generally taking in some breath taking scenery and lovely fresh air.

A few pointers though, first of which, bring something approaching a decent bag with you. This is to avoid walking around with a Spar bag containing a 4 person supply of goodies for the day looking like a complete rookie. This will also save you from having to have an early lunch when your bag rips and you don't have anything to carry the found around in.

Second, wear decent shoes for walking about in the muck and up the side of a steep enough valley. Also don't wear baggy chords that are far too long and you walk on. The reasons for this advice is pretty obvious to most people Im sure, but for those of you less sensible (like myself) it's good advice nonetheless!!
